RT-Labs Joins STMicroelectronics Partner Program

RT-Labs announces that it has joined the STMicroelectronics Partner Program to integrate its Ethernet-based industrial communication stacks into ST’s development environments and microcontroller platforms.

Partnership to Accelerate Industrial Communication

Gothenburg, 2025-08-29 – RT-Labs, a leading provider of real-time software solutions for industrial automation, announces that it has joined the STMicroelectronics Partner Program to integrate its Ethernet-based industrial communication stacks into ST’s development environments and microcontroller platforms. The ongoing integration aims to make protocols such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP available to STM32 developers through ST’s tools and workflows, with support for additional protocols planned in future phases.

By combining RT-Labs’ protocol expertise with ST’s widely adopted hardware platforms, this collaboration will enable developers to add advanced, standards-compliant industrial communication capabilities without starting from scratch. At the center of this integration is U-Phy, RT-Labs’ multi-protocol platform, which provides a unified data model for handling multiple Ethernet-based protocols. This approach will simplify design, accelerate development, and ensure reliable real-time communication for industrial applications based on ST microcontrollers.

Partner Contribution

RT-Labs brings decades of expertise in real-time systems and industrial networking into the ST ecosystem. With a proven track record of delivering robust software stacks for mission-critical applications, RT-Labs ensures that complex industrial communication can be implemented with confidence and reduced risk. The integration with ST’s development environments will provide developers with not only advanced protocol support but also the reliability, stability, and long-term maintainability required for industrial-grade solutions.
